The high altitude plateau of Tibet is still very much a"Shangri la" to many - a mystical land of mountains and snow. Part of China these days it still has a very different feel to it and although Chinese influence is continually increasing the magic of Tibet and it's resilient people is very much in evidence to visitors. The gallery here covers the capital, Lhasa as well as a trip down the Friendship highway which eventually leads to Katmandu in Nepal.
