Norway was visited at the tailend of a trip to Russia starting in the far north at Kirkenes and finishing in Oslo where most of these images were taken. The time of year was December but this was the winter of 2006-7 which was incredibly warm with temperatures in the far north only just about freezing - a full 30C warmer than normal. Oslo was positively tropical when it should have been snowy.
